Hundreds of candle lights line the path to the “walls of Bethlehem.” The shopkeepers, Roman guards and merchants in the streets will be dressed for their parts, and care has been taken to ensure that the goods in the shops are realistic. See live camels and farm animals on your visit. You will also see shepherds, angels, Wise Men, and visit the live nativity scene at the manger.
During 2009, Walk Through Bethlehem had 2,000 + visitors experience the excitement. While admission is free, canned food will be accepted for the Norcross Cooperative Ministry. Last year, Simpsonwood UMC collected over 14 barrels of canned goods. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available at the end of each visitor’s journey.
