If you’re a little behind on your pumpkin picking this year, it’s not too late! Venture up 400 to Old Milton and about 10 miles to Woodstock and you’ve arrived at a fabulous pumpkin farm – Berry Patch Farms. Family owned and operated since 1978, the farm offers fall pumpkins, Christmas trees in the winter and blueberries in the spring.
For a $5 parking fee you are on your way to the farm where you can enjoy a hayride to pick your own pumpkins from the patch. Mini pumpkins are $1 each and larger ones go for .98 per pound. After you select your pumpkins, the hayride returns you to the main activity area where you can check out and purchase your pumpkins. On the property, there are pony rides and a carousel for the little ones, face painting, BBQ, homemade pumpkin ice cream (yum!) and fried blueberry pies, as well as a very friendly staff.
The farm offers the perfect photo spots, including a wagon decorated with pumpkins and plants, and the glorious pumpkin patch itself.
Berry Patch Farms is open weekdays until October 29, 3:30- 7 pm and weekends until October 24, 10 am to 6 pm. Go early to get a close parking spot as you will have to carry your pumpkins to your car. Happy Fall, y’all!
