Things are picking up here at World Relief as our summer draws to a close. More refugees are arriving in Atlanta. World Relief expects to welcome 69 refugees in August and 70 more in September! Many thanks to those of you who have served with us this summer. Please look over our current volunteer and donation opportunities and let us know if you can help!
1. Apartment Set-ups. We need your help to prepare 3 apartments on Wednesday 8/3/11 and 5 apartments on Tuesday 8/9/11. Reply to Richard Crotteau at rcrotteau@wr.org
2. Host Family. We are seeking an official World Relief volunteer to serve as a host for family of 7 from Central African Republic that may quickly leave Georgia to be near relatives. Placing the family with a host will save them hundreds of dollars in fees to break an apartment lease if they do move. The family arrives August 18th. Reply to Annie Bollinger at abollinger@wr.org
3. School Supplies! The first day of school is almost here, and we still need supplies for all of our kids. Forty-five will start on August 8. Many more will follow them. Can you help? For more information visit http://worldrelief.org/Page.aspx?pid=2523 or contact Joshua Sieweke at jsieweke@wr.org
4. Befriend a newly arrived refugee. World Relief welcomes refugee families and individuals to Atlanta every week. Our goal is for each of our clients to experience God’s love through the friendship of a Christian volunteer. To find out how to get involved, reply to Annie Bollinger at abollinger@wr.org
Thank you for standing with us!
