Lucky for me I’ve known the answer for a while and you need to be on the lookout for Billy Crystal, Marisa Tomei and Bette Midler!
A family who lives on Vermack Court was approached by a Hollywood Movie Studio and asked if they could borrow their home for a major Hollywood motion picture! They said YES and now you see the trucks, vans, cars, cameras, caterers and all the hoopla whenever you ride by the area!
I’ve seen several titles including: “Parental Guidance, Us & Them, and Call Me Artie” But who knows what the final title will be!

20th Century Fox and Walden Media’s comedy “Parental Guidance” will open on November 21, 2012.According to Variety, the cast includes Billy Crystal, Bette Midler, Marisa Tomei, Tom Everett Scott, Bailee Madison and Joshua Rush.The previous title of the film had been “Us & Them.”Andy Fickman is directing from a script by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel.Lisa Addario and Joe Syracuse wrote the original screenplay.Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark and Crystal are producing.The film centers on a minor league baseball broadcaster (Crystal) who is going through a separation with his wife (Midler). They find themselves together again when they are forced to live with their three grandchildren.

That is my Master Gardener project and we were there working today cleaning up the gardens and met some of the crew. They came over to chat and were really nice. Anyway, according to two location specialists, the movie is “Parental Guidance” for now…

Just wanted to let you know that my son is a photo double for the youngest child on the Parental Guidance set and we have been at the Vermack location all week! We should be here for another 2 weeks, I think. His name is Luke Donaldson and he’s 6 years old. We’ve been on set with Billy, Bette, Marisa and the rest of the cast since they began filming and he is having a blast!!!
I just thought you’d like to know that a local Dunwoody boy is a big part of the film!!

Look for a few local kids in the movie as well! The family whose house is being used passed along the names of some of their kids’ friends to be extras! So you may see some people you know in this movie in different scenes. We were lucky enough to see the whole cast up close. What a neat experience!
