Volunteers Needed for Career Day at DHS

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to make a good impression on students at Dunwoody High School.
 
The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber’s Partners in Education and Workforce Development Council, in partnership with Dunwoody High School, will produce a Career Day on March 24, from 9 – 11:15 a.m., at the high school.
 
During the event volunteers are needed to be guest speakers throughout the school on diverse careers – and we need your help! 
 
2 Volunteers are needed in each of the following areas:

  • Environmental Design
  • Military
  • Corporate
  • Hospitality
  • Media/Film
  • Medical
  • Law
  • Not-for-profit

Time Requirement:

  • 8:15am:  Arrive & Sign-In (High School Lobby)
  • 8:15am – 8:50am:  Coffee & Doughnuts meet and greet (Library)
  • 8:30am:  High School staff will give instruction
  • 8:55am: Student Government Association members will walk volunteers to classrooms
  • 9am – 11:15am: Tell about your career!  What you do, why you love it, what are the challenges, and more!
    • You will speak to three groups of students during these approximate times:
    • 9:00 – 9:40 am
    • 9:55 – 10:35 am
    • 10:40 – 11:15 am

Notes

  • Persons with the same career path may be combined to give group discussions.
