Vino Venue….an impromptu review by Audra

There were only 7 of us this month and it was the first time there for all of us!   We went Thursday night and had a great time.   The restaurant wasn’t full but there was a good crowd there and it was all women from what I could tell.   We all agreed it was a great choice for a “girls night out”.   Michelle F. and I were hungry so we shared edamame hummus with crispy ciabatta AND heirloom tomato flatbread with olive tapenade & fontina cheese.   Both were yummy and in fact, I’m personally craving that flatbread right now!  The menus are so cute to me…all have an “on purpose” red wine ring stain.  You can see one if you click here.

They were having a $5/glass Pinot Noir special and about half of my group had a glass or two of the special and said it was good.   The rest of us participated in one of the coolest wine tasting things ever!   Vino Venue has three of these cool wine dispensing contraptions.  Basically, you purchase a Vino Venue card for $2 and then add as much money to the card as you want.   I shared one with Kristin K and we put $30 on the card.   You can choose to purchase a “taste”, a “half glass”, or a “full glass”.   The prices for each are indicated above each bottle.   Kristin and I had a few tastes and a few 1/2 glasses.   Depending on the price of the wine you are tasting,  your $30 could last you a few minutes or over an hour!   I kept the card and plan to take my hubby back for more tasting soon!

We all thought the decor was really cool.   Vino Venue is a really nice addition to the Georgetown Shopping Center.   In fact we all remarked about how we were so happy to see the many recent improvements at Georgetown.   The new Georgetown Kroger ROCKS and all of us who have been to Farm Burger LOVE it!   We were happy to be so pleased with Vino Venue and would all like to go back….next time we may take a cooking class.   Here’s a sampling of what they offer but you should check out their website to learn all the scoop!

Subscribers tells them or if they happen to read it on The Aha! Connection themselves!   We did not receive ANY compensation, free wine, or free food for this review.   In fact, I insisted that my girlfriends NOT tell the Owner or the Staff that we were affiliated with The Aha! Connection because I wanted to get the true taste and experience without anyone putting forth a special show for us.
