DeKalb County had 10 football programs with players earning First Team or Honorable Mention Preseason All-State Honors as selected recently by Georgia High School Football Daily (GHSFD) and Recruit Georgia.
The 2021 high school football season kicks off on Thursday for DeKalb and the two media outlets picked seven DCSD athletes for First Team honors and 20 picked up Honorable Mention selections.
Five of the First Team selections earned recognition from both services including Class 7A Dunwoody’s Jackson Moore (punter), Class 3A Cedar Grove’s Janiran Bonner (WR), Christian Miller (DL) and Kayin Lee (DB) and Class 2A Columbia’s Marquez Harris (DL). GHSFD chose Cedar Grove’s Rashod Dubinion (ATH) as a First Team pick and Recruit Georgia gave a nod to Cedar Grove’s Joshua White (DL) as a Class 3A All-State selection.
