Spring skiing is shaping up to be excellent! Most resorts are extending their closing dates!!
Spring skiing in April can often be a gamble, which is not a risk many want to take considering the cost of a ski vacation. If there was ever a year to use your spring break week for a ski vacation, this is the year! Ski resorts out west are experiencing large snowfall numbers and thankfully for them, they will be able to make up some of their losses from Spring of 2020.
The Vail/Beavercreek area has received over 80” of snow in the last 6 weeks. Jackson Hole has received a total of 473” of snow to date. Park City has received 203” total and 29” just in the last week! All this wonderful snow has resulted in many resorts extending their closing date. Some are even staying open until Memorial Day weekend (Breckenridge and Mammoth Mountain).
Below is a list of some of the best ski resorts and their closing dates. If you don’t see your favorite resort, look it up. I bet they have extended too! Some resorts have also stated that they may further extend closing dates if conditions permit, so keep checking. A last-minute ski trip in late spring would be a nice treat after 2020!
