Hey Audra- You rock. I’m in for a t-shirt promoting all you do. I’m sure you’ve gotten much input but your legal disclaimer might benefit all contract workers. Plumbers can abuse as easily as tutors, and all contract workers might need background checks. Does that help lessen the freak-out or add to it? I don’t know. But I really appreciate how you handle this. As a contract worker it’s my duty to provide recommendations that come from respected, recognized individuals, that resonate with the community I am trying to reach, and that build on word-of-mouth. You provide this.
It is up to each of us to take responsibility for who is with our children and when. I believe that most of the people who will subscribe to this list/website embrace this philosophy, although I understand and appreciate the misgivings that come with launching something this comprehensive and this detailed. Again, you rock, girl.
The website looks great and I’m so glad that your bright light is going forward. It must be a challenging process but you are handling it with grace and honesty. That’s why it will succeed, I think.
