Calling All Teachers
We are looking for individuals available to assist with a new English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program at Hightower Elementary. The school has had a great response from parents interested in enrolling in an ESOL program to learn conversational English.
We would like to have a meeting at Dunwoody UMC for all those interested in volunteering. Please contact Samantha Faklaris at samantha.faklaris@dunwoodyumc.org so that a convenient time and place can be decided upon.
We hope to have two ESOL teachers (hopefully some of you!) and assistants to help in the classroom. We are looking at the classes taking place on Thursdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. after school. It works well for the school to assist with childcare because of an after school program they have for homework help. The first session of classes will run 12 weeks – September – November – beginning the Thursday after Labor Day (September 10) and ending November 19.
