National Night Out to bring police and community together

On Tuesday, Aug. 2, police departments from the cities of Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and Johns Creek will host the 33rd annual National Night Out (NNO) event. This community event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Perimeter Mall, 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road .

Dunwoody Police Department to put citizens on patrol

The City of Dunwoody is taking community policing to the next level with a new program to put residents out on the streets and on patrol.

Several Car Break-Ins at Mill Glen and Vermack Swim Meets

I’ve received SEVERAL emails from folks who had things stolen out of their locked cars at swim meets in Dunwoody this week.  The police have been notified.  Moral of the story is to not leave anything in your car…..especially don’t leave things in plain site!

Man Arrested for Videoing Women and Girls at Perimeter Mall Macy’s Dressing Rooms

DUNWOODY, Ga. — A man is in police custody and accused of being a Peeping Tom.

According to Dunwoody Police, Patrick Bailey was arrested after authorities say he used a cell phone to take pictures and videos of women and girls while they shopped at an Ashford-Dunwoody Road Macy’s.

Police said the 33-year-old admitted to using his cell phone’s camera in public areas and in the dressing rooms of the store as they changed clothes. … Read More »

Dunwoody police looking for community patrol volunteers

Dunwoody police are looking for volunteers to join the city’s new Citizens on Patrol program to help officers with the responsibilities of monitoring the community.

Dunwoody police spokesman Mark Stevens said in a news release Monday that the program volunteers will be able to immediately notify officers about suspicious activities and ongoing crimes.
