Dunwoody police looking for community patrol volunteers

Dunwoody police are looking for volunteers to join the city’s new Citizens on Patrol program to help officers with the responsibilities of monitoring the community.

Dunwoody police spokesman Mark Stevens said in a news release Monday that the program volunteers will be able to immediately notify officers about suspicious activities and ongoing crimes. Modifications to Nandina Lane and Mt. Vernon Road Intersection

Beginning 5/31 the Mt. Vernon Road – Nandina Lane intersection will undergo modifications to create a “Right-turn-in/Right-turn-out only” configuration. Once completed, drivers will no longer have the option to make left turns off Mt. Vernon onto Nandina.  This change is designed to address safety of drivers as well as pedestrians at this section of road.

Donuts with Dunwoody PD
