Style Moment: We’re Giving Away the New Early Spring Polish Colors!

Welcome Spring! Hopefully the cold, rainy weather will soon be behind us!  It is time for rejuvenating mani/pedis in fresh colors!

So if you are a Lady Gaga fan and enjoyed her performance of “Shallow” with Bradley Cooper at the Oscars, I have a little inside scoop for you.  The color she wore on her nails that night is a brand new color by Essie, called Stirring Secrets.  Gaga was the first to publicly wear this color from the Essie Spring 2019 Collection.  Some suggest the name hints at the vibe of the intense performance between her and Bradley Cooper.  The Essie website describes it best as a “light nude beige cream nail polish with hints of rose.”  The polish is $9, which is affordable compared to her dress and $30 million dollar necklace!  It is selling out fast; I had luck at Target, and I think ordering from Amazon is also a great way to go.  There is speculation it will outsell the iconic Ballet Slippers in no time.

On to the OPI Spring 2019 Tokyo Collection….a very bright and happy lineup of colors.   One of my favorites is Another Ramen-tic Evening, which is a light pink with a kick.  I think it would look fantastic while wearing all white at a spring or summer party.  Suzi-san Climbs Fuji-san is your go to “toes in the sand” color.  It is a pretty blue that goes aqua like the ocean in Turks and Caicos.  Tempura-ture is Rising is a bright coral or some might describe it as modern poppy.  There are 3 metallics in the collection. My favorite is Chopsticks and Stones, which is navy blue with a starry undertone.  It feels really NOW. Navy is a neutral, so this bright metallic is very versatile. 

Stay tuned for a “Spring Summer 2019 Part Deux” just before summer.  There are so many new colors on the horizon that I am still testing!
