DUNWOODY, GA – April 16, 2020 – The Spruill Center for the Arts and Atlanta based artist Jason Kofke have come to an agreement to continue raising funds for artists impacted by the COVID-19 coronavirus by selling yard signs with the iconic “EVERYTHING WILL BE OK” image created by Kofke more than a decade ago. The yard sign campaign gained international attention and served as a source of inspiration as the coronavirus spread throughout the country. In partnership with CREATE Dunwoody, thousands of dollars have already been raised and distributed towards artists in need.
“The Spruill Center for the Arts has supported artists and the creation of art in the community for more than 45 years. We are humbled by the outpouring of support for Jason’s message in this time of need and thrilled to be able to continue to show the power of art to bring us all together,” said Spruill Center for the Arts CEO Alan Mothner.
When asked about the work, Kofke responded, “During times of uncertainty, Everything Will Be OK reminds us that unexpected change is a part of life. The products we create during times of change affect how the change is endured. This project began as a sign that has a different meaning to everyone. As the message spreads our hope is that it causes each viewer to momentarily consider what is most important in her life.”
“EVERYTHING WILL BE OK” yard signs are now available for purchase nationwide through CREATE Dunwoody’s website at www.createdunwoody.org or directly through Jason Kofke’s website at https://www.everythingwillbeoksigns.com/ All proceeds raised through the sale of the signs will be donated directly to artists impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
