From the Dunwoody Police:
Chamblee PD stated they had the scam below happen today. Soliciting in Dunwoody w/o a permit is illegal. I suggest only hiring people after checking references and some independent research.
“Today I was advised of a scam that occurred in the Gainsborough subdivision(Chamblee Dunwoody Rd near 285). A Chevy Silverado green/ grayish double cab pick-up truck and several males offered to fix cracks in the victims driveway. They said the cost will be $40.00 dollars; however, when they finished they charged the victim $400.00 dollars. Please be careful and give us a call if you see suspicious activity.”
