Sandy Springs Turtle Tours Program for Pre-Schoolers

Heritage Sandy Springs announces the 2015 Turtle Tours schedule, an educational series for children ages 2 – 5 at the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum. Through stories, hands-on exhibits, and crafts, Museum mascots “Sandy” the Chipmunk and “Spring” the Turtle will introduce preschoolers to history and nature.  Based on the Smithsonian Institution’s Early Enrichment program, “Turtle Tours” are held one Saturday each month at 11:00 am and last approximately 45 minutes. The program is free, but donations are encouraged.  “Turtle Tours” are scheduled for the following Saturdays in 2015:

June 13                 Rock out with Rocks

July 11                  Following Sandy’s Treasure Map

December 12     Celebrate Winter

 “Preschoolers love learning and they will have a great time exploring history, art, and nature with our Museum mascots, Sandy & Spring,” said Kimberly Brigance, Director of Programs & Historic Resources at Heritage Sandy Spring.

The Museum is located at 6075 Sandy Springs Circle, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Parking is available on Sandy Springs Place in designated parking lots.
