Be sure to take the poll to let us know what color wristband you would choose!
Peggy, Lauren and I met yesterday at ROAM to take a tour. We’ll share more on ROAM later but wanted to quickly tell you about how much we love the idea of Safe Hands wristbands and other products! You choose orange, blue or green to wear and visibly let people know your level of social distancing comfort. It’s a great way to quickly see others’ level of comfort without an awkward or judgmental conversation.
Here’s how it works….
The Safe Hands System facilitates clear communication through products that classify users into three categories: orange, blue, and green.
- Orange wearers have a “home at-risk” meaning they or a loved one are vulnerable to COVID-19. By displaying the orange band, they are signaling their desire to maximize distance from others and minimize interactions.
- Blue wearers are “seeking space” and signaling to others their desire to honor social distancing measures wherever possible.
- Green wearers are in an environment where they are “comfortable interacting,” even in close proximity with others.
Just think how awesome it would be if everyone could adapt to this system and avoid all the bickering and awkwardness. To hug or not to hug? To shake hands or no? Safe Hands’ website has examples of how this system can work in communities, at church, at school, in the workplace, at social gatherings etc. I so wish this system had been in place at a recent wedding I attended.
The website has everything from buttons and magnets to yard signs and masks.
What color wristband would you choose? Take our poll here. I’ll let you know Peggy’s, Lauren’s and my color next week!
