Important Dates and Information for players 5-12
Walk-In Registration and Player Verification: January 8th, 2012 2:00-5:00 at the MCLL Fieldhouse
Last Day for early registration is January 8th, 2012(**)
Evaluations for 6 and 7 year olds will be held on January 7th and 8th.
Evaluations for 8-12 year olds will be held on January 14th and 15th. (There are no evaluations for 4 and 5 year olds or returning major players)
Practices will begin in mid-February.
Each team will play approximately 16-18 games, beginning around March 5th, 2012 Opening Day festivities on March 9th, 2012.
Eligibility Requirements for players 4-12
Players are eligible to play at Murphey Candler if they:
1. Will be between the ages of 4 and 12 on April 30th, 2012.
2. Live in the area served by our charter. Check your address on our interactive map.
Please note that all new players who reside within these boundaries and those that did not play at MCLL in the Spring of 2011 will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate and a document proving residency (e.g. copy of parent’s driver’s license, utility bill, tax bill, voter ID card, etc.). Once the online portion of the registration has been completed, these documents can simply be:
1. mailed to: MCLL Registrar, P.O. Box 888032 , Dunwoody, GA 30356
2. scanned and emailed to: registration@murpheycandler.org
3. brought in to the field house during either of our walk-in registration days.

Who is eligible to play Challenger League (Buddy) Baseball at Murphey Candler
MCLL Challenger Baseball is open to boys and girls with physical and mental disabilities, ages 5-18 or the completion of high school. For registration or for information about becoming a Challenger Buddy, contact Challenger Director Wayne Hillis at whillis@phrd.com.
How much does it cost:
Register by January 8th, 2012 and take advantage of early registration rates:
League age 4 – $115
League ages 5 and 6 – $170
League ages 7 and 8 – $205
League ages 9 thru 12 – $270
Challenger League (Buddy Baseball) ages 5 thru 18 – $60
Starting on January 9th, 2012 regular registration rates apply:
League age 4 – $115 (no change in registration fees)
League age 5 – $170 (no change in registration fees)
League age 6 – $220
League ages 7 and 8 – $255
League ages 9 thru 12 – $320
Challenger League (Buddy Baseball) ages 5 thru 18 – $110
We offer a Multi-player discount of $25 per additional child.
There is an additional $20 per player if not a DeKalb County resident.
Registration is online. Fees are payable via Visa or Mastercard.
Scholarships:
Murphey Candler is not unmindful of the tough economic times facing our country and our community. To that end, we have a limited number of need-based scholarships available. Applications will be held in strictest confidence. Consideration will be given to space and availability within the player’s age group/league as well as the length of time that the player’s family has been affiliated with the park. There are no formal documents to be filled out. Application should be made by contacting our Scholarship Director, Carol Pajer, via email at registrar@murpheycandler.org
Voluntary Withdrawal:
If you decide to withdraw your child from the program, you must request a refund, in writing.(Mail to: MCLL, P.O. Box 888032, Dunwoody, Ga. 30356: or e-mail treasurer@murpheycandler.org).
For the Spring Season, the request must be received by MCLL by the last scheduled evaluation day including make-up days. (For Southern League (no evaluations) the International League schedule will apply).
For the Fall Season, the request must be received by MCLL by the first scheduled practice day.
A $25 administrative fee will be deducted for EACH CHILD withdrawn. For additional information on click here.
