Bottom Layer Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 16 oz can chocolate syrup
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Bottom Layer Directions: Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and other ingredients in order given. Blend well. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch glass pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Middle Layer Ingredients:
- 2 cups of 10x powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons Creme de Menthe
- Middle Layer Directions:
Middle Layer Directions: Mix together and spread over top of baked and cooled cake
Top Layer Ingredients:
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 6 tablespoons butter
- Top Layer Directions:
Top Layer Directions: Melt together chocolate chips and butter. Let cool a little and then spread over top of middle layer.
*The bottom layer may not seem to be finished baking when you bring it out of the oven. I always bake mine for 25 minutes. You don’t want to over bake the bottom layer, but you do want it to be done.
