My kids love this snack (or dessert) during fresh berry season!
Ingredients:
Any fresh berries. We typically use:
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Raspberries
- Blackberries
For the Cream:
- 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 3 T Sugar
Preparation:
Wash berries, cut strawberries if they are large. Put all the berries together in a big bowl.
With an electric mixer mix the cream and the sugar on high speed until peaks form. This works best when the cream is really cold. (usually less than a minute)
Scoop berries into small serving bowls and top with a dollop or two of whipped cream.
*Many would serve this with shortbread or angel food cake but since I’m Gluten Free I eliminate bread for most meals for my family unless it’s something like burgers or sandwiches!
