Do you put mayo on the outside of your grilled cheese before you cook it? I don’t like mayonnaise, so I was very skeptical, but I’m a full convert now. A nice even toastiness.
Be sure to check out all the comments on the Facebook group…so many weighed in on their perfect grilled cheese!
Have you tried the fresh pasta out of the case at E. 48th St. Market yet? It’s a nice upgrade and with the pecorina and marinara, everything is done.
I made pad thai tonight. I rarely say this, but for all the effort, I should have just ordered take-out. It was really tasty, but so many ingredients. 😅
I hope y’all like soup, because I make a lot of it in the fall/winter. I make this turkey “chili” more than anything else because my kids actually like it. I saute 2 chopped shallots (or 1 onion) and 2 cloves of garlic then add a pound of ground turkey. Once cooked, I sprinkle about 1/2 a cup of flour, could be more or less. You are looking for a gummy kind of look or texture. This replaces a traditional roux. Then slowly add a little chicken broth and stir. Go slow and add a little, let absorb and repeat until you get the consistency you like. Then add a can of chopped green chillies and a can of white beans. I typically use 1 quart of broth. My kids like fried onions on top, but lynn and I prefer sour cream and this TJ’s crunchy chili oil.
