Read Across America Day Celebration at Primrose School of Dunwoody

IMG_7486-1280x960In honor of the National Education Association’s Read Across America Day, more than 130 children at the Primrose School of Dunwoody celebrated literacy with more than 45 million readers nationwide. The preschoolers, ranging in age from 1 to 5 years old, wore handmade
Dr. Seuss costumes, ate green eggs and ham and participated in various other “Seussical” festivities. Additionally, the children wrapped up their month-long book drive with a donation benefiting the local Atlanta Reach Out and Read chapter, a national non-profit committed to promoting literacy through pediatric primary care.

Read Across America Day is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on or around Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
