Included is the local chapter of NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN (NCJW), a grassroots organization of volunteers who, inspired by Jewish values, strive to improve the quality of life for women, children, and families and believe that an educated public is fundamental to a democratic society. One of their worthwhile programs is the leadership and coordination of tutors working one-on-one with elementary school students to assist them in learning to be better readers.
