Peachtree Charter Middle School supports the arts and wants to share the incredible work our area young people are doing. Their upcoming Festival is this Sat Oct 5th, where they will have over 200 pieces of student artwork for sale, and will feature local comedian Marvin Lee as their Master of Ceremonies. Hosted by the PCMS Drama Club, they will showcase youth bands including Dunwoody’s “Already Taken” and “Missing Cat” featuring local kids and former PCMS students- you won’t believe how talented these kids are! In addition to school work these kids are true entreprenuers working hard to reach their dreams. The festival also features the band “Distortion” a PCMS student band as well as a group of our own music teachers and PCMS school band directors, Terry Shores and Walter Hickman.
Priceless Performance dance troupe will also perform a magical dance piece. The Festival is staffed by PCMS Drama students and parents with the help of some DHS Art students helping to support our arts community. Performances start at 3 PM and run til 7 PM followed by a showing of PTV student videos, the annoucment of the Drama Club’s spring production and then an Enchanted Evening watching Disney’s Enchanted under the stars.
The Festival also features local artisans and vendors including, Fun Fleece, Learning Ladder, DHS Spiritwear, Twisted Serenity by Bo jewelrey and accessories, and Tiffany’s Soy Candles.
