Dunwoody, GA— Painting with a Twist®, a social art studio in Dunwoody, hosted a Painting with a Purpose charity event benefitting Christmas for Kids on Thursday, December 6th.
The studio partnered with The Dunwoody Police Department and The Dunwoody Preservation Trust for a night of holiday fun, painting, and socializing. All proceeds from this event went back to Christmas for Kids, totaling a final donation of $1,000.
Each month, franchisees from across the nation hold monthly painting fundraisers through the Painting with a Purpose program to benefit local charities. Collectively, the Painting with a Twist system has donated more than $3.8 million through local Painting with a Purpose events.
“We were delighted to partner with the Dunwoody community for the second year to help raise funds and increase awareness for Christmas for Kids,” said Amanda Dossey, Franchise Operator. “Community involvement is of utmost importance to us – we are thrilled to be helping a Dunwoody group in need.”
The Dunwoody Police Department Christmas for Kids (CFK) program began in 2009 with the goal of bringing our community together to collect new and unwrapped toys and gifts for Dunwoody’s under-privileged children between the ages of newborn to 15 years old. Officers work together with I Care Atlanta, Inc. to hold a Christmas celebration at a local facility where Santa and his Elves (along with a toy soldier or two!) arrive to greet deserving kids and their parents and enjoy a festive celebration complete with gifts and activities for the kids as well as snacks for the whole family.
In addition to supporting the local community, Painting with a Twist in Dunwoody also offers private parties for corporate outings, team building, bachelorette parties, sorority functions, date nights and special events.
