DUNWOODY, Ga. — Families in need will have a new source of support when Dunwoody United Methodist Church begins a new program called “Package of Hope.”
It will start on Saturday, January 25, and run from 9 to 11 a.m. on at the church, located at 1548 Mt. Vernon Road.
Staff members and volunteers will give out food boxes as part of a new, monthly distribution to help community members in need.
The distribution is open to anyone in an economically difficult situation and unable to provide adequate food for his or her family.
Packages of Hope include non-perishable food items that will feed a family of four for several days.
Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with coffee and pastries.
Dunwoody UMC running the program through a partnership with Action Ministries.
The goal of the church is to make families feel welcome as they work through tough financial times to get back on their feet.
