Note from Police about a burglary in The Branches yesterday

2/4/13 (Monday)

Early this morning officers responded to a burglary in progress on Hidden Branches Drive. The homeowner woke up and found the back door open with her electronics near the door she then saw a silhouette of the suspect.  The homeowner showed great poise and courage, she pretended like nothing was wrong then calmly walked to the bedroom and called 911.  When officers arrived on scene the suspect fled on foot but was apprehended after a foot chase.

The victim did a fantastic job of staying safe and providing police the information needed in order for us to capture this perpetrator.  There was no forced entry to the home so please remember to lock ALL your doors.  We are currently investigating the suspect to see if he is responsible for any other thefts or burglaries in the area.

I have attached the press release from the arrest.

Be safe,

Officer Tim Fecht
