I’ve been thinking lately about how wonderful it is to live in an area with so many diverse and wonderful choices available for our children’s education. As I’ve grown older, been a parent for longer, and gotten to know so many diverse children (& parents) over the years, I’ve determined that there is DEFINITELY not a “one size fits all” choice for education. Each child and family is unique and the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs/Chamblee/Brookhaven area is surrounded by a multitude of great school choices where you are sure to find the perfect fit for YOUR child!
On my journey for finding the perfect educational fit for my sons I have researched public, private, and home-school options. The best answer for my boys right now puts one of them in public and one in private school. Different schools for different boys…may sound crazy to some but it works really well for us..for now.
Because I have thoroughly researched education for our family, I learned very quickly that the private school application process can be quite daunting and the variety of school choices is vast and can be overwhelming. I wanted to help others by creating this “Aha! Education Guide”. My goal is to share important dates for things like open houses, testing, and application deadlines. Also to give you important reference information for all the public, private, and home-school choices in our area.
If you have ideas about what I can include in the next edition of our education guide then please let me know. This is just the first edition and I hope to continue to improve for you each time. I welcome your suggestions for changes, improvements, additions, corrections etc. I am thankful that YOU help me keep our communities connected!
