Something new for Lemonade Days! Lemonade Days 2016, a family-favorite Dunwoody festival and a fundraiser for the Dunwoody Preservation Trust, will return April 13 – 17 at Brook Run Park. New to this year’s celebration is the “Made in Dunwoody Country Store” featuring locally made food and products, local art, books by Dunwoody authors and a “Flea Market Finds” sale of upcycled furniture and housewares. The Dunwoody Preservation Trust is seeking vendors of locally made foods, gifts, art, jewelry and other products for its “Made in Dunwoody Country Store” to be open Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17 of the festival. Vendors interested in renting a booth should call Hope Follmer at 770-668-0401. Local authors of fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, etc. are invited to participate in the “Made in Dunwoody” bookstore with copies of their books. Interested authors should call Kathy Florence at 404-680-9604. In addition, the DPT is seeking donations of no-longer-wanted furniture and accessories. Items will be refurbished to stock the “Flea Market Finds” sale on April 16 and 17. Please call David Long at 404-452-9692. Featuring more than 30 carnival rides and games, carnival food and live music, Lemonade Days draws tens of thousands of people to Brook Run Park each year during the five-day event. This year, the Dunwoody Preservation Trust has earmarked all proceeds of the 2016 to benefit the refurbishment, renovation and reopening of the Donaldson-Bannister historic home on Chamblee Dunwoody and Womack Roads. The organization is currently working with the city of Dunwoody to reconstruct the home’s interior flooring and barn. ###
