The Dunwoody City Council recently passed a new consumer fireworks ordinance. Fireworks can no longer be used AFTER 9 p.m. or BEFORE 10 a.m. with some exceptions. On January 1 (New Year’s Day), the last Saturday and Sunday in May (Memorial Day holidays), July 3, July 4 (Independence Day), the first Monday in September (Labor Day) and December 31 (New Year’s Eve) of each year, fireworks can be used between 10 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. On January 1 of each year, fireworks are allowed between midnight and 1 a.m.
