Mount Vernon & Pebble Tossers Partner to Commemorate 9/11

AkatzHHDEach year the students of Mount Vernon Presbyterian School commemorate and honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 through Helping Hands Day. Helping Hands Day is a day of school-wide community service with the goal of providing support to nonprofit organizations while teaching students the value of selflessness, compassion and responsibility.

This was Mount Vernon’s first year to officially partner with Pebble Tossers, an extraordinary organization that promotes service learning and engaging children in age-appropriate service projects. Together MVPS students and Pebble Tossers served 34 nonprofit organizations on Helping Hands Day.

Attached is a photo of MVPS students Grace Griffin, Tripp Calhoun, & Maddie Mitcham who volunteered at The Packaged Good in Dunwoody. The Packaged Good provides a fun, inspirational environment where kids and community groups can decorate and personalize care packages and create craft projects for people in need.
