I will be teaching my photography class again soon and wanted to let everyone know about the new format. This spring, I taught a small group with great results. Because of the small size, I was able to give individual attention to each student, going over camera settings, reviewing work, etc.
Here’s how it would work:
- Class size would be limited to 8, with a minimum of 6
- Class would be in a “book club” format, where the venue would change each week to a different student’s home. This allows for a casual atmosphere (feel free to bring wine!) where everyone can share work, ask questions, and I can demonstrate everything on a small scale. We’d rotate homes each week.
- There will be 6 classes of 2 hours each, in the evening during the week, usually in the 7-9 or 8-10 range. I’m ready to start the first week of August.
- There will be two classes: Learning digital photography (primarily focused on using a digital SLR) and the Digital Darkroom (primarily focused on Photoshop and digital workflow)
- Cost for the class is $150 per person
If you are interested in forming a group or know someone who would like to sign up, please just send me an email and I can coordinate all of the details. Please feel free to forward this to anyone you think may also have an interest in the class.
