A few years ago at the Dunwoody Arts Festival, Mike Parks walked past the Dunwoody Rotary booth and was overheard to say, “Rotary changed my life.” The Rotary membership chairman happened to be the one who heard this comment and stepped out to engage him in conversation.
Fast forward to this week: Parks was named Rotarian of the Year by the Rotary Club of Dunwoody, partly because he has worked tirelessly and successfully to bring the Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship, worth $24,000 each, to Georgia.
