The DHS Class of 2020 may have missed out on the last few weeks of school and sports. What they haven’t missed out on is LOVE and attention. I’ve tremendously enjoyed watching neighborhood parades, viewing Facebook posts of happy faces on drive through diploma day, seeing senior yard signs and gigantic neighborhood banners all over Dunwoody. The City of Dunwoody – Government even “lighted the way” for these kiddos on Monday night. Yesterday and today I’ve been preoccupied watching Facebook and Instagram posts showing DHS Seniors celebrating last night’s virtual graduation with just family, or with smallish and largish groups of friends. I noticed several faces of DHS Faculty and Staff at some of yesterday’s gatherings. My son was blessed to celebrate graduation outdoors with 30 of his friends. He was even more blessed by four Dunwoody High School teachers who chose to spend their free time celebrating the kids they love on graduation night. I’ll also gladly post pictures or videos from celebrations all over Dunwoody. Just email me or leave a comment on this post. Michael Nash is a true blessing to our small town in the big city. He coached my graduate in baseball and football and taught him two Finance Academy classes. His speech is about 8 minutes long but you’ll want to hear what he says about F.A.M.I.L.Y. (Forget About ME, I Love YOU).
