Handel’s Messiah – Sunday, Dec. 13, 4:00-5:00pm Celebrate this Christmas season with a performance of the most famous piece of sacred music in the English language, George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. Composed in just 24 days, this timeless masterpiece draws from the King James Bible and The Book of Common Prayer to lay out a concise distillation of traditional Christian doctrine, from Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah’s coming, through the birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, to the promised Second Coming and Reign of Christ. Join us as the Dunwoody UMC Chancel Choir, led by Rev. C.G. Walden III, performs excerpts of this brilliant work of art. Sunday, Dec. 13 at 4pm, Dunwoody United Methodist Church sanctuary, 1548 Mt. Vernon Rd.
