Hello, My son Christian attends Dunwoody Elementary! This year I am privileged to be nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2015 Woman of the Year campaign. The Man & Woman of the Year is a ten-week fundraising competition to raise money to support LLS. I am asking you to help me assist the efforts of LLS to find a cure for blood cancer.

As a theme song for the campaign, I have chosen “This Girl Is On Fire” by Alicia Keys because this song defines my mission for this campaign…I’m Fired Up And Ready To GO!!! My focus is not only on fundraising, but also encouraging patients and their families in the struggle to beat cancer. The funds that are being raised are in honor two local children who are battling blood cancers but are doing well. Hendrick, our Boy of the Year, is 7 years old and Koa, our Girl of the Year, is also 7 years old.
Everyone is affected by cancer in some way so I am very passionate about helping LLS. This is my first time reaching out to you for a fundraiser and I want you to be a part of my campaign team and support this amazing cause. I believe in the mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
