Event Dates: 7/4/2016 – 7/4/2016
Let freedom ring! One of Atlanta’s favorite summer traditions, Lenox Square’s Legendary Fourth of July, is set to return with a star-spangled bang! For over half a century, Lenox Square has celebrated Independence Day in grand tradition with patriotic activities for the entire family. At over 10,000 fireworks, the show has grown in scope and scale to become one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast. This year’s activities will include a 15-minute fireworks show, musical entertainment and food concessions. Everyone is invited to experience the city’s time-honored tradition and celebrate as Lenox Square lights up the sky on the Fourth of July!
Beginning at 6 p.m., a diverse lineup of live musical entertainment will kick-off at the main stage including the following:
-
6 p.m. – Jimmy Buffet tribute band Sons of Sailors
opens the show
-
7:45 p.m. – Headliner Party On The Moon, a party band playing the latest in current dance, classic rock, disco/funk, swing, R&B, standards, Motown and new country. One of the most in-demand party bands in the country, Party on the Moon has played at President Obama’s Inauguration Ball and New York Giants quarterback and Super Bowl champion Eli Manning’s wedding.
Parking: Due to street and highway closures, MARTA is the preferred and easiest means of transportation to and from the event. On the Doraville line, exit at the “Lenox” station; on the North Springs line, exit at the “Buckhead” station.
Again this year, paid parking for $10 will be in place at Lenox Square. In addition, for $20, patrons can access VIP Parking, which is in immediate proximity of the festivities, and offers priority event departure assisted by the Atlanta Police Department. Simon Rewards Platinum Members will receive free VIP Parking for the evening. A portion of the proceeds from parking fees will be donated to the Simon Youth Foundation.
