Every night, Julia’s little sister curls up with the unicorn ballerina her big sister, Julia Mann, gave her as she waits for her big sister to come home. She’s named the unicorn “Julia” for her sister and often brings one of her dolls she has named “Julia” to the dinner table to eat with us. She asked me last night, ‘Where is Julia?” and I had no idea what to say. I tried to explain but she seemed confused, so I tried to just reassure her everything would be okay.
I wish more than anything I did know things will be okay- that I could simply say to my younger daughter, your big sister is safe and will be home soon. Having no idea if my daughter, 17-year-old Julia Mann. is even alive and well is the worst feeling in the entire world. I cannot begin to describe the pain I feel every second of every day. I just need to know Julia is okay.
Please help us find 17-year-old Julia Mann, and don’t hesitate to come forward if you know anything at all. Our hearts are broken and the world has stopped turning as we are terrified something has happened to our precious girl. Please don’t hesitate to call 911, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, or 1-800-THE-LOST where you don’t even have to give your name. A $20,000 reward is offered for any lead that helps find or confirm Julia is safe.
If you live in the Watkinsville or Athens, Georgia area, please re-check any doorbell camera or surveillance video for anything unusual. Julia apparently walked out our back door with very little and did not return. She disappeared overnight February 20-21st, and there has not been one trace of her since on her phone, computer, or social media, and none of her many friends we have contacted has heard from her. We had no reason to believe Julia was leaving, and it appears she planned to return soon.
Julia is 5’3” tall, about 100-110 pounds, has several ear piercings, and her hair style or color could have changed or she might be wearing a hat. She usually wears contacts but could be wearing clear-rimmed glasses. Please, please call if you can help with any information at all.
