The Dunwoody Wildcat 5e Robotics Team is a student-led organization that just started a F.I.R.S.T. Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Team. This is our rookie season and we need your help.
WHAT IS F.I.R.S.T?
Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.
The Wildcat 5e team will help expand students’ understanding of everything from brand design, marketing and all aspects of a business model to computer design, programming, electrical systems, drivetrains and pneumatics.
