Holy Innocents’ Sophomore to Take the Stage at Governor’s Honors

emmaEmma Yaniger, a sophomore at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES), has been selected for this summer’s Georgia’s Governor’s Honors Program, a four-week instructional program tailored to the state’s most intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students. The students will receive “challenging and enriching educational opportunities not usually available during the regular school year,” according to the Georgia Department of Education.

“Emma is such a joy to work with,” said HIES Upper School drama teacher Maria Karres-Williams. “I’m thrilled that she’s going to have this incredible opportunity. She will spend the summer immersed in the art that she adores and I can’t wait to see what she learns and brings back to us next year!”

This summer’s session will take place June 22–July 19 at Valdosta State University.
