Heritage Sandy Springs announced the return of Rhythm & Brews, a community celebration of local bands and local beers, to be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
“We are thrilled to present Rhythm & Brews for the third year, on what just happens to be National Beer Day!” said Sarah Poland, Director of Marketing & Community Events at Heritage Sandy Springs. “We are excited to continue the tradition of shining a light on original artists whose music is deeply rooted in the South, while bringing exposure to craft breweries from all around Metro Atlanta. Rhythm & Brews not only celebrates the sips and sounds of the region, but also presents an opportunity for everyone – both the young and the young at heart – to kick back and relax in a beautiful outdoor setting.”

Rhythm & Brews will feature the following lineup:
Beau + Luci (2:15 pm – 3:00 pm)
Sister Sirens of Swamp Rock, BEAU + LUCI, enchant audiences with hypnotizing harmonies and bluesy melodies. Growing up in Waycross, Georgia, just a few miles from the Okefenokee Swamp, their music combines the mystery and folklore of “the land of the trembling earth” with their spellbinding brand of bluesy Americana rock. Heavily influenced by the Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Emmylou Harris, and Johnny Cash, their undeniable approach to storytelling is steeped in ageless spirituals, blues, and classic rock. At the young ages of 20 and 22, these “flower children with rock’n’roll souls,” captivate hearts of all ages and walks of life.
Wet Jeans (3:20 pm – 4:05 pm)
With a pleasantly eclectic background and a mutual love for music, Wet Jeans has quite the innovative yet powerful sound for a band consisting of just three members. The band was formed accidentally in 2013 when Caleb Little (lead vocals/guitar) thought his acoustic performance would be lot less boring with a rhythm section. He was not wrong. An invitation to the stage was sent to Neal Colledge (bass/vocals) and Brian Hekman (drums/vocals) whom, before that night, had never met. Their collective love for pop-turned-rock cover songs and influence from the sounds of 90’s rock and Motown with dashes of classic blues and pop led the trio into writing their own material as well. And with the amalgamation of meaningful lyrics, catchy melodies, and driving rhythms of their originals blended with high-energy performances of their guilty-pleasure, mega-fun covers, Wet Jeans dares you to not have a good time.
Battlefield Collective (4:25 pm – 5:25 pm)
Battlefield Collective is the combined musical talents and efforts of Stephanie Caron and Evan Hart. Hailing from Marietta, Stephanie began singing before she could talk, and hasn’t stopped doing either since! Stephanie has always been involved with performing arts, be it choral activities, theatre, or playing guitar and writing songs, which she has been doing for over 10 years. Having played the violin for 15 years, Evan has been active in the Atlanta music scene for nearly a decade. In styles ranging from Funk to Folk, Electronica to Hip-Hop, Rock to Rockabilly, he’s performed with over 30 different projects. Battlefield Collective represents his first full-time effort. A unique blend of bluegrass, Americana, roots, and rockabilly give the group an unmistakable and unique sound that is as full of energy as it is passion.
The Howling Tongues (5:45 pm – 6:45 pm)
Since 2011, The Howling Tongues have been creating a movement and revival in the music scene – bringing back the roots of rock’n’roll with loud guitar amps, giant kick drums, fuzzy bass tones, over-driven organ, and raspy vocals. Heavily influenced by classic garage rock bands like The Stooges, Big Star, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and The Kinks, The Howling Tongues found their niche in their world of music and their “Take No Prisoners” live show proves that rock’n’roll isn’t dead. Listen and become part of the Revival.
