“I wanted to get the word out about an incident that happened to me last night in Dunwoody Village- near Brusters on Dunwoody parkway at the light at Mt. Vernon.  I accidently pulled out in front of a car headed towards the light at mt. Vernon, noticed the car coming around the corner fast so I sped up to not interfere.  I got in the left turn lane with a car in front of me at the red light.  He pulled up right beside me in the right lane even though there was plenty of  space to proceed in the lane.  I didn’t look at him and then I heard a huge bang on my passenger window where he was hitting/banging the window with a gun.  I looked up and he pointed the gun towards me.  I immediately went in reverse to try to get away and he stayed beside me in reverse, not letting me pass and not letting me see his tag. He had the gun pointed at me the whole time. Finally, I  had to go in the wrong lane on the far left and pull up next to the car that was in front of me to use that car as a shield.  The light was still red and cars were going every which way on Mt. Vernon; I had to just pull in the traffic and speed and swerve around cars to get away.  It was a large car with a square-ish top, tanish in color with a Texas license plate. This happened around 7:30. White male, 40ish maybe with side bangs and sandy brown hair.”

  1. I was the car in front of this person at the light at Mt. Vernon. I did not see the entire event but did think I saw the other driver point a gun – was so quick it did not register at the time with me. As I saw the car behind trying to move out of the way I tried to move my car but it was too late.
I did look at the car of the gun pointer – did have Texas plates – appeared to be like an older Bonneville, Cadillac type of car. The driver of that car took off fast to the west on Mt. Vernon and did not pursue the other driver.

Happy to try and provide any other information and sorry I was not more help at the time of the incident
