We cordially invite you to join us for the first concert in the forty-fourth season of the Callanwolde Concert Band Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA. Music Director Raymond Handfield will be joined by Assistant Conductor Scott Files in this Halloween – themed program.
Selections on the program include A Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Moussorgski, Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Paul Dukas, Dream of a Witches’ Sabbath from Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Berlioz as well as selections from the musicals Wicked and Phantom of the Opera.
The Band, a community organization for over forty years, is DeKalb County’s premiere symphonic wind ensemble. Admission to this concert is FREE. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
