A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandy Springs, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the church’s social hall.

Incident: Fatality Accident
Date: December 2nd, 2014
Location: Mt. Vernon Road at Hidden Branches Drive, Dunwoody, GA. 30338
On December 1st, 2014 at about 2:42 PM a vehicle driven by Ms. Roberta Sedam, age 79 of Dunwoody, attempted to turn left onto eastbound Mount Vernon Road from Hidden Branches Drive. A vehicle that was traveling westbound on Mount Vernon Road was unable to stop from striking Ms. Sedam’s vehicle. Upon arrival of officers on scene, Ms. Sedam was alert and conscious but was having difficulty breathing. Ms. Sedam was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital but later passed away due to a combination of her prior health and the injuries she had received from the collision. The occupants of the second vehicle were not injured. The preliminary investigation indicates that Ms. Sedam failed to yield to traffic after stopping at a stop sign and speed was not a factor in the accident. The other driver will not be charged in the accident.
