Comedian Derrick Tennant will serve up a hilarious evening of “bleep-free” comedy on Thursday, October 7, in a benefit performance for the Tim Redovian Memorial Fund. The show begins at 7:00 pm and will be held at Dunwoody’s Stage Door Players, 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road. Admission is $20.00, and a complimentary dessert reception will follow the performance. For reservations, call 678.488.6929 or email timsfund@timredovian.org.
Tennant has performed at comedy clubs nationwide, including the Punchline, Improv Club, Comedy Zone and others. Tennant is popular on corporate, private and faith-based circuits, and is a well known motivational speaker. His trademark company name is “Left Arm Comedy,” because his left arm is mostly paralyzed from an injury, a theme he uses in performances recognized for their “clean” material. Tennant is the creator of the show “BLEEPFREE Comedy,” which is known for its funny, family-friendly content.
Tennant was born and raised in Syracuse, N.Y. and holds degrees in Psychology and Communications. When he is not touring across the country, he lives in Atlanta.
The Tim Redovian Memorial Fund was established in 1997 in memory of a young performing artist from Dunwoody, Tim Redovian, who lost his life to a rare respiratory disorder. TRMF grants scholarships to students who wish to pursue studies in the areas of drama, dance, voice, instrument and technical theatre. To date, the fund has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships. For more information, visit www.timredovian.org.
