Dunwoody Preservation Trust announces its 22nd Lemonade Days Festival, a five-day event to be held at beautiful Brook Run Park in Dunwoody.
This year marks the 24th anniversary of the 1998 tornado that tragically destroyed entire Dunwoody neighborhoods and led to the first Lemonade Days, held as a relief effort for affected families. It has since grown into a five-day festival with something for everyone that has historically attracted more than 30,000 festival-goers.
This year’s Lemonade Days will feature more exciting full-scale carnival rides, fabulous food-and-beverage vendors including, Sharon’s Diner, modeled after the Marietta Diner; a Country Store of multiple craft vendors; pony rides; a petting zoo; and the Dunwoody Idol contest.
Bigger than ever, the event will again feature The Nemesis 360, the latest and greatest ride offered by Peachtree Carnival Rides and one of a handful in the country. The Nemesis 360 offers riders the thrill of substantial hang-time at its 80-foot top, with an impressive amount of G-force at the bottom.
The Lemonade Days Festival is the only fundraiser of the Dunwoody Preservation Trust (DPT), with the profits going to the continued rehabilitation and maintenance of the historic 1870 Donaldson-Bannister Farm (a partnership of the DPT and the City of Dunwoody, voted as a Georgia 2021 award winner for the best Meeting & Event Facilities by the Georgia Business Journal), as well as numerous community events, educational programs for children and adults and Dunwoody’s only history camp for kids.
The festival will run April 20-24, 2022, with the following hours of operation: Wed., April 20, 4pm-10pm
Thurs., April 21, 4pm-10pm Fri., April 22, 4pm-10pm Sat., April 23, l0am-l0pm Sun., April 24, 12noon-6pm
Wristbands for unlimited rides are available for $20 on Family Nights (Wednesday and Thursday) and $25 (Friday – Sunday). Single tickets may be purchased for $1.25. Brook Run Park is located at 4770 North Peachtree Road in Dunwoody, Georgia 30338.
Please add Lemonade Days to your spring calendar of events and consider writing an article about the amazing growth of this much-loved signature community event.
