The 2024 Lekotek Run is one of three major annual fundraising events benefiting children with disabilities, including those with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, genetic conditions, hearing and/or visual impairments, speech-language delays, chronic and sometimes terminal illnesses, through accessible play opportunities.
All proceeds from the event directly funnel back into Lekotek programs including play sessions, toy and technology adaptations and loaning, camps, clubs, family and community programs, and scholarships. This accessible, family-friendly event is in its 32nd year and will take place at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, Georgia, on Saturday, August 24th, from 8 am to 12 pm. It features a 5K wheelchair division, a 5K Peachtree qualifier division, a 1-mile fun run/walk, as well as music, refreshments, and kids activities. There is also a virtual race option for those unable to attend in-person.
