Learning on the Log (LOTL) specializes in experiential social skills program within sensory based recreational activities in our Enrichment PreSchool, After School Programs, Weekend Sports Leagues, Summer Camp, and Birthday Parties.
LOTL is a special needs school that supports children who require additional help to develop a wide range of social skills. We help children aged 3 to 10 to improve their communication and relationship building skills and to manage disorders, including Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, ADD, PDD-NOS and Sensory Integration Disorder.
Our special needs pre-school sessions run Monday thru Friday, 9 am to 12 pm, and comprise classroom teaching time and activities, including art, music, team-building and handwriting. A separate special needs pre-K academic track is available for children preparing to enter Kindergarten. It is based around specific pre-K standards but children integrate with pre-schoolers for the parts of the day dedicated to social activities. The school is suitable for children with behavior problems, learning differences, and conditions such as high-functioning Autism.
