Guests at the 39th annual Dunwoody Home Tour, scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2011, will travel from the sleek sophistication of a Manhattan penthouse to the serene seclusion of a rustic lakeside retreat without leaving Dunwoody. In between, they’ll see three other magnificent homes including a Craftsman renovation, a whimsical mini-estate and a gracious Georgian colonial home.
These are the houses on this year’s tour:
The Eid home is a rustic lakeside retreat evoking the ambience of the North Georgia mountains but located only blocks from bustling Dunwoody.
The Cupit home is a light-filled, whimsical mini-estate on the site of the family’s previous home.
The Fobas home was a classic Dunwoody 5-over-4-and-a-door until a recent renovation re-imagined it as a family-friendly, eclectic blend of Craftsman, Adirondack Rustic and Nantucket cottage styles.
The Schneider home is a stately Georgian colonial with a recent 2 thousand square foot addition gracefully integrated to the site.
The Hutcheson home, a penthouse high atop the Manhattan condominiums, epitomizes sleekly sophisticated design concepts.
