The official notice from the police is at the bottom of this post. I then posted a few updates from Aha! Subscribers that were aware of some scary details. I’m glad I have a dog who barks ferociously and a monitored alarm system. I’ve started “arming” my alarm system nightly and even when I leave during the day! Check out the photo below and please call 911 if you see anything suspicious. Let’s help the police catch these guys!

I (yes, me-Audra) called 911 on Saturday night at around 10 PM. I was home alone with my ferociously barking dog when someone rapped on either a window or the front door glass. My dog beat me to the front door and when I flipped the lights a car was rapidly driving away up my street. I called my across the street neighbor and she saw the car speeding away and her son had just been disturbed by a noise that woke him up too. It could have been teenagers playing “ding dong ditch” but I called the police just in case because I want these guys caught and jailed!

Hi Audra,
I live in the Kingsley neighborhood and experienced a similar situation last night at 9:48 pm. I walked into my front room and saw a dark 4 door sedan (possibly green, older, maybe a Galant or Civic), and a white SUV (similar to a Murano) in my driveway. I could hear talking, but not what was said. The driver of the sedan had gotten out and was standing by the driver’s side door when I opened the curtains to get a better look (their headlights were making it difficult to see anything). I called 911, the person got back into their car, they backed the vehicles out and left.
This might have been a completely random incident, but I wanted to let your readers know that the robbers might have switched SUV’s.

Last night my neighbors, Peggy and Ann looked out their windows (they live across the street from each other) around 10 pm and saw a dark SUV and an additional car parked in front of Peggy’s house. The cars were there for about 20 minutes and Anne called the police. While they were waiting for the police and watching from their respective darkened windows, one car drove off, leaving the SUV there. As they watched, a man exited the SUV and began walking towards Peggy’s house. From her window, Peggy yelled “Hey!” and the man ran back to his vehicle and left.
Just wanted everyone to know that these men are still actively looking at our neighborhood. The police advised Peggy and Anne to leave on any and all outside lights that they can as that will dissuade them from approaching homes at night.
Be safe

Someone had an opportunity to speak to a COD Officer earlier this evening as he was patrolling the neighborhood. He said he just arrested a 30 year old magazine salesperson on Trailridge Way off of Mt. Vernon one block west of the village. The sales person had no company ID nor did he have a picture ID and permit issued by the City of Dunwoody. In addition he was a convicted felon. He claimed most of the proceeds went to some children’s home and he was trying to make some money for college. One woman had just given him a check which she got back. Officer said he was looking for four other individuals peddling magazines in the area.
Please call 911 if ANY solicitor is spotted with no county ID picture badge. IF they are not sure, then just call 911 and let our police figure it out. Better safe than sorry.
Remind people to be dilligent with their cars too! Yesterday at 2pm, I saw 2 white males scoping out a BMW that was parked very near the entrance to Lowes in Sandy Springs. They had a metal pipe like object in their hands and it was obsious what they were attempting to do. I will tell you, they didn’t seem to care that this was a crowed parking lot as they probably assumed no one would want to get involved. At one point they stepped away from the car and went off to the corner of the parking lot which gave me a chance to walk by this car and see that they were interested in the lap-top on the back seat. Long story short, I called the police who came very quickly and had these guys. Not sure what happened to them as I had to run to carpool.
Follow up to the recent break-ins:
We have had a couple of day time Burglaries involving the same vehicle and suspects. Please lookout for 1 w/m and 3 b/m’s in a Black Ford Expedition GA Tag 1178 YH. If you see this vehicle or any suspicious vehicle in your neighborhood, call 911.
This is eerie …This afternoon at 2:25 one of our neighbors heard the door
bell ring and she ignored it thinking it was UPS/Fed X. The door bell
rang a second time and she went to the window and saw a Black SUV sitting in her
driveway. She wasn’t near a phone and obviously was stunned based on the
recent break ins and description of the vehicle being a black SUV. She
decided to go towards the front door to let them know someone was home and
saw a young black man with his head and hands against the window peering
inside. He then said he was looking for one of our neighbors and she
yelled no go away and he went back to the vehicle and they drove away. There were
at least 2 other people in the vehicle and she didn’t get a license plate.
The police said they are very bold. I am going to Sandy Springs Police
Dept tonight to get more information…how many homes have been broken into, how
long has this been going on etc. I will let you know what they say. Please
let anyone in the area know this is happening in our community.
Hello Audra,
My friend came home today in broad daylight to find 4 men (2 white, 2 black) robbing her house in the Kingsley neighborhood. They had a black Ford – older model SUV parked in her driveway, all the doors open, and one of the men calmly walked right past her to see if he could pull the car around her and her still running car. Then he closed the car doors, calmly got in, drove over her yard, and left with several items including jewelry and TVs, an ipad, etc. The other guys took off running. They had opened drawers and cabinets, throwing everything all over the place. They had kicked in the basement door to enter.
Thank you, and right now I am really upset about this, because my friend was very lucky she wasn’t hurt. She actually was 2’ from the guy, and got a very good description of him. However, she didn’t get a license plate number. (She was freaked out).
Thanks Audra. This vehicle visited my house this morning too. They didn’t stop or get out, but since it is strange to have cars come all the way down our very long drive, I made a mental note of their license number. When I got your email I called the police and gave them the license info.
The officer I spoke with later said that the tag number matches their suspect,
So thanks for sending that important msg!
Thanks Audra. Even though I know its for an attempted home burglary, that kind of thing always makes me nervous when it’s so close to a school…That’s right next to Kingsley, where my babies are right now. I’ll say a little prayer, and hope the school doors are locked.

Approximately 20 minutes ago a home owner arrived home to find a black suv parked in their driveway. It was occupied by a white male driver and 3 black male passengers. The black males exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The suv drove away from the scene. This was an attempted burglary on Brendon Ct. If you see a suspicious black suv occupied by the suspects listed above, please call 911 immediately so we can investigate them.
Thank you,
Officer W. Furman
